In a complex period of the History of Spain, in which the end of the Civil War and the beginning of the Second World War placed the country at a crossroads, a minister and an aristocrat carried out the biggest scandal of the postwar period. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Franco Government and architect of the National Movement, Ramón Serrano Suñer, and the Marchioness of Llanzol, a fascinating woman advanced in time, were immersed in a passionate romance that caused a stir among the exclusive social circles of the epoch although it did not get to transcend to the public opinion. Telecinco premieres this production of four episodes as one of the Spanish fictions with the highest expectations of this season. Based on the homonym novel by Nieves Herrero and inspired by a true story, the series portrays the clandestine romance between Ramón Serrano Suñer (Rubén Cortada), Franco's foreign minister, and Sonsoles of Icaza y León (Blanca Suárez), wife of marquess of Llanzol.
